True you need to build communities not amount of followers. I sometimes get lost in that when really I only have like 500 people who I stay in contact with. They have suggested that they will get rid of the Follower list all together. Might not be such a bad idea.

What is concerning about Twitter is the attention on the number of followers on everyones counter. It seems people are focused on buidling such a large number that I believe it defeats the purpose. What good is it if you have 20k followers when really only 10 people are reading your tweets?
