Nigeria seems to be the Bull Market in Africa. South Africa would be the safe pick and Morocco seems to be an up and coming economy.

I do agree with the pull-back. I am going to make money off the strong earnings in August and rethink things when September comes.

Depends you could do what you want buy the GAF or iShares EZA (Africa). These are a way to play the whole market however gains would not be as substantial. They are safe picks similar to buying the S&P. If you want to take more risk and have more reward then buy African stocks themselves. I have a list to look at and after I do further research will let you all know.

I would have to include Africa into he global rally this year already. We just witnessed a sharp liquidity fueled raly and all the easy money has been made. Most world indexes are up over 50%. Expect a 20% pullback, soon. Don't forget September is the worst month for stocks.

Good article! I've long thought that the African continent has a bounty of potential just waiting to be tapped into. I bought some GAF last Sept. at $50/share, sort of an indirect play on Africa. Pays a nice dividend. I wish there more ADR's available to allow for a more direct approach. How would you invest in Africa? Buy outside companies that are able to exploit its markets, or buy African companies themselves?
