Future Markets Projections

I the upcoming months, I foresee the Dow Jones falling sub 8,000 levels to around 7,800 before the rally starts back up again. In the upcoming months I believe energy will lead the way as it strengthens against the weak U.S. dollar. I see another bad jobs report to come in July with the unemployment rate climbing up closer and closer to 10%. Long-term I think we will peak at around 11-12% before we see any form of recovery. Some might feel we are near recovery due to the 40% increases the S&P has seen in recent times yet I say were far from it. The housing market is still continuing to struggle falling on a continued month to month basis and consumer spending has yet to see any major jump to stimulate retail stocks. The realistically thinking is though not to expect the housing market to see full-life at any point before 2011. With mortgages defaulting on a continued basic and investors strapped for cash more homes are sitting empty than ever. As a result invest in goods that are a necessity like ENERGY. To play energy look at Chevron (CVX), Evergreen Solar (ESLR), Noble (NE), PetroBras (PBR), Petro China (PTR), and Total SA (TOT).  Another growing industry with room for great returns is the Healthcare industry. If Obama is serious with this universal healthcare plan which I am almost positive he is then that will add around roughly 40 million new customers for the drug/pharmaceutical companies. This enormous bump will give them record revenues plus with the tax subsidies the companies will receive to make competitive pricing it’s a win, win.  I have mentioned some strong healthcare picks such as AMAG Pharmaceuticals and CR Bard (BCR).  Overall many people have an optimistic view that the economy will rebound in the 2nd half of 2009. Yes we will see small gains but the true strides will come in 2010 and beyond. Its all dependent on the President and how he goes about fixing the unemployment rate/housing market as currently those are the two indictors holding us back from a revived market/economy.

Very good case for the DOW to close over 10,000 by year end.
